What Is Loofah? Natural Luffa Fiber & Materials

Loofah and luffa are two spellings for the plant material used in these scrubbers. The mature gourd develops a network of fibers. The cleaned, dried interior can be cut or sewn into sponge and scrubber formats. Natural loofah is not a plastic bath pouf. Look at the whole product: scrubbing fiber, stitching, hanging loop and packaging. A plant-based fiber alone does not establish that every attached component is suitable for home composting.
